Looking for Atlantic City poker tournaments and poker rooms in Atlantic City?  Your best bet is the Boardwalk and Marina area where a number of major casinos hold regular poker tournaments in some very nice poker rooms.

The poker rooms below offer the best variety of spreads and poker games including Texas Hold'em, Seven Card Stud poker and Omaha poker.  There are plenty of low limit poker games with Trump Taj Mahal and Borgata seeing most of the high stakes poker

Ballys Atlantic City - Ballys Casino has two poker rooms, one in the main Ballys Casino and one in Ballys Wild West Casino.

Ballys Casino has 20 poker tables located in Billy's Poker Parlor on the 6th floor. There are generally 15 tables dealing Texas Hold'em and five tables dealing seven card stud poker games.

Billy's Poker Parlor has no limit Texas Hold'em poker tournaments Monday through Friday. Buy-ins usually range from $60 to $100. Poker tournaments generally take place in the evening, but call ahead for times (609) 340-1141.

Ballys Wild West Casino has 10 poker tables located next to the Simulcast area in the casino. The games are mostly Texas Hold'em and Seven Card Stud. The Wild West poker room has no limit Texas Hold'em tournaments on Wednesday and Friday. Sit & Go single table poker tournaments are available every day from 10 am until midnight.

Borgata

The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa opened in July, 2003.  It is one of the more luxurious casinos in Atlantic City and its comfortable poker room is consistent with that theme.  The Borgata casino has the largest and one of the most popular Atlantic City poker rooms with 85 tables.  Daily poker games include Texas Hold'em, Seven Card Stud, and Omaha with spreads generally ranging from about $3 - $6 to $20 - $40.  Larger spreads are often available in the high limit section.  Borgata hosts a Texas Hold'em poker tournament Monday through Friday with buy-ins generally ranging from $20 to $200.  Borgata is also host to the annual Borgata Poker Open in September.  The poker tournament is part of the World Poker Tour.  For more info on the Borgata and its poker room, see also Borgata Casino Hotel.

Caesars Atlantic City
Caesars casino has a 24 table poker room with fifteen 50" plasma televisions.  The Caesars poker room hosts no limit Texas Hold'em poker tournaments most days of the week.  For more info, call the Caesars poker room at (609) 348-4411 ext. 5109.

Harrahs

Harrahs Atlantic City has a poker room with 24 tables primarily offering low limit Seven Card Stud and Texas Hold'em.  Harrahs is host to the World Series of Poker Tournament Circuit in January.

Hilton Atlantic City
Hilton has a nice 22 table poker room on the second level of the casino with Texas Hold'em, 7 Card Stud, and Omaha.

Resorts Atlantic City
Resorts casino has a new poker room (opened May 2005) located in front of Platinum Place Slots on the Boardwalk side of the casino. The Resorts poker room hosts two weekly evening poker tournaments on Tuesday and Thursday.

Sands

The Sands Casino has a small poker room on the fourth floor with 15 poker tables dealing Texas Hold'em, Seven Card Stud, and Omaha with low limits.  The Sands poker room hosts a Texas Hold'em poker tournament every Friday and Saturday with a $35 registration fee.

Showboat

The Showboat Casino now offers Atlantic City's newest poker room with 25 tables and a House of Blues style decor.  The Showboat (owned by Harrahs) will be host to several World Series of Poker events including  the World Series of Poker Tournament Circuit.  The Showboat poker room is on the second floor of the casino across from the House of Blues music hall.

Tropicana

The Tropicana poker room has 48 poker tables dealing Texas Hold'em, Seven Card Stud, and Omaha.  This is the place to be if you also have sports action going as monitors showing sports events are visible from every seat in the poker room.  The Tropicana poker room has a Texas Hold'em poker tournament going every day of the week with buy-ins ranging from $20 to $50.

Trump Taj Mahal

One of the biggest and most popular, the Trump Taj Mahal poker room has over 70 poker tables.  Trump deals 7 Card Stud, Texas Hold'em and Omaha.  Most days you can also find Hi-Lo poker games for 7 Card Stud and Omaha Eight or Better.  The Trump poker room also has one of the widest varieties of spreads with games beginning at $1 - $3 and $2 - $4 and often as high as $300 - $600 on the weekends.  The poker room offers daily poker tournaments, usually no limit Texas Hold'em tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $50 to $300.  Trump Taj Mahal also hosts the annual Trump U.S. Poker Championship in September/October and the Trump Classic Poker Tournament in November/December.  The poker room also offers free poker lessons.  For more about the Trump Taj Mahal and its poker room, see Trump Taj Mahal.
