Borgata Casino Hotel Atlantic City    

Borgata Casino Hotel is one of the gems in Atlantic City.  Borgata opened in July, 2003, and has more than lived up to expectations.  The Borgata Casino Hotel is a joint venture between Boyd Gaming and MGM Mirage and the combined talents of these entities in developing Borgata is apparent.  Everything from the architecture, to the gaming, to dining is first class.  The feeling at the Borgata is actually more Las Vegas than traditional Atlantic City.

The Borgata Casino has over 125,000 square feet of gaming including a poker room, race book, 145 table games, and 3,650 slot and video poker machines.  Table games include Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Mini-Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Pai Gow Tiles, Let It Ride, Three Card Poker, Spanish 21, Big Six, and Sic Bo.

The Borgata Casino poker room is consistent with the luxurious look and feel of the rest of the casino.  It is located downstairs from the main casino and is spacious, elegant, and well organized.  The Borgata poker room uses a computerized system for seating players that is very smooth.  The chairs are comfortable and the poker room even has its own snack bar.

The Borgata Casino poker room hosts over 85 poker tables offering all types of poker games and limits.  The most popular poker games at the Borgata poker room are Texas Holdem, Seven Card Stud poker, and Omaha poker with spreads generally ranging from about $3 - $6 to $20 - $40.  Poker games with larger spreads are often available in the high limit section.  Daily poker tournaments, including satellites, can be found at the Borgata Monday through Friday with buy-ins generally ranging from $20 to $200. 

The Borgata Casino poker room is the host for a few annual poker tournaments.  In September, the Borgata poker room holds its annual Borgata Poker Open poker tournament which is a part of the World Poker Tour.  In January the Borgata Winter Poker Open takes place (another World Poker Tour tournament), and in June, the Borgata poker room is the venue for the annual Borgata Summer Open Poker Tournament.

The Borgata Hotel features over 2000 guest rooms and suites.  The rooms are done in a tasteful Italian style with rich wood, earth tones, marble, large bathrooms, and floor to ceiling windows.  Borgata standard hotel rooms are 460 square feet and suites range from 700 square feet to 1,500 square feet.  There are even two 5,000 square foot residences at the Borgata.  All rooms feature high speed Internet access.
