Pineapple Poker - Crazy Pineapple Poker - Tahoe Poker
These are the Pineapple Poker rules, Crazy Pineapple Poker
rules, and Tahoe Poker rules. Both of the Pineapple Poker games and
the Tahoe Poker game involve
a poker rule variation on the rules for
Texas Holdem Poker in which each
poker player is
initially dealt three cards instead of two.
In the rules for Pineapple Poker, each poker player then
immediately discards one of the three cards he is dealt, and the poker game proceeds
exactly as in Texas Holdem Poker.
In the rules for Crazy Pineapple
Poker, the poker players discard their
third card after the second
poker betting round, before the fourth community card is
dealt.
In the rules for Tahoe Poker, poker players keep all three cards through
the showdown, but may
not use all three of them to make a poker hand - each
poker player may use none, one, or two
cards from his poker hand, combined with those cards on the board, to make his final
five-card Tahoe Poker hand.
Crazy Pineapple Poker and Tahoe Poker are often played
high-low split, and play reasonably
well that way, though plain Pineapple Poker does not.
There are not that many poker rooms which deal Pineapple
Poker on a regular basis. Frankly, not that many players are familiar with
the rules for Pineapple Poker. One place that is fond of Pineapple Poker
is Australia. Pineapple Poker games and tournaments can often be found at
Australian poker rooms. One of the larger poker rooms to deal Pineapple
Poker is the Crown Casino in
Melbourne, Australia. There is typically a Crazy Pineapple Poker
tournament included among the tournaments in the annual
Victorian Poker Championship
which is hosted by the Crown Casino poker room.
Another card room that regularly deals Crazy Pineapple Poker
games is the Bicycle Casino in
California, which also deals Mexican Poker,
another hard to find poker game.
