Poker Stars European Poker Tour

The Poker Stars European Poker Tour is a series of televised poker tournaments that take place throughout Europe including Barcelona, London, Paris, Vienna, and Dublin.  The Grand Final poker tournament takes place at the Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco.  The European Poker Tour is sponsored by online poker room Poker Stars.

The 2004 - 2005 season is the inaugural European Poker Tour.  The poker tournaments in Barcelona, London, Paris, Vienna and Dublin, are preliminary events with buy-ins ranging from 1,000 euros to about 4,500 euros.  In addition to their tournament winnings, winners of these preliminary poker tournaments receive prize packages to the Grand Final poker tournament at the Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco.  The prize packages are valued at 15,000 euros and include entry into the Grand Final event, flights and accommodations for two, and 1,000 euros spending cash.

The European Poker Tour Grand Final poker tournament in Monaco is expected to have over 2 Million euros in prize money, with more than 1 Million euros going to the tournament winner.
