Foxwoods Casino New England Poker Classic

The Foxwoods Casino New England Poker Classic at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, is an annual poker tournament in March and April.  Foxwoods Casino is operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and is a complete resort casino complex with a 76 table poker room.

The Foxwoods Casino New England Poker Classic begins the last week of March and tournaments run for 11 days.  There are ten individual poker tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $300 to $2,500 (plus entry fees of $40 to $150).  Poker games include limit and no limit Texas Hold'em, Omaha Hi-Lo, 7 Card Stud poker 7 Card Stud Hi-Lo, and H.O.S.E. (an acronym for Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Seven Card Stud, and Stud Eight or Better - the poker games are rotated in the tournament).  The final poker tournament is a two day $2,500 no limit Texas Hold'em tournament.

Foxwoods Casino holds daily single table satellite tournaments beginning ten days prior to the start of the New England Poker Classic.  Satellite tournament buy-ins usually range from $45 to $265.  Daily multi table super satellites begin March 1 for the $2,500 no limit Texas Hold'em poker tournament.  Super satellites have an $80 buy-in with $60 rebuys.

Foxwoods Casino also gives Best Over-All Player Awards in the New England Poker Classic.  The top three players receive complimentary hotel accommodations at Foxwoods for the New England Poker Classic the following year.  The top player also receives a New England Poker Classic trophy.
