World Series of Poker
and the World Poker Tour
both of which hold their championship poker tournaments in Las Vegas.
The Rio Casino hosts the World Series of Poker tournament in May,
and Bellagio hosts the World Poker Tour
Championship tournament in April.
The Las Vegas casino poker rooms listed below are some of the best places
for poker in Las Vegas. There is a poker tournament going on at
one of these Las Vegas casinos every day. The daily and weekly
poker tournaments
generally have buy-ins ranging from about $40 to $2,000.

The Las Vegas Bellagio Casino has one of the most luxurious poker rooms in
the Las Vegas area.
The Bellagio poker room has 40 tables spread out over 7000 square feet
with two high stakes poker sections. This is a smoke free poker room
(as are most Las Vegas poker rooms) with eleven large plasma screens
for sports viewing, 24-hour dining service at the poker table, and
complimentary beverages.
Texas Holdem and 7 Card Stud poker are the most popular poker games at
the Bellagio poker room. Poker players will find daily no
limit Texas Holdem poker tournaments with higher stake poker
tournaments Friday and Saturday. Poker Tournaments typically
start early afternoon (often 2 pm) with satellites in the morning. Bellagio also hosts the annual
Bellagio Cup in July, the Bellagio Festa al Lago Poker Tournament
in October, the Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic
in November/December, (all three are stops on the
World Poker Tour), and the
Bellagio Five Star World Poker Classic in April. The

The Palms has two poker rooms at their Las Vegas casino. One
poker room primarily deals limit Texas Holdem poker with spreads of $2 - $4 and $4 -
$8. The other poker room deals $1 & $3 blind no-limit Texas
Holdem poker games with a $100-$500 buy-in and $2 & $5 blind
no-limit Texas Holdem poker games with a $200-$1000 buy-in.
The no limit poker room also features upgraded poker tables and
plasma televisions showing race and sporting events. Both of the
poker rooms offer progressive High Hand Jackpots that start at $50.00.
Seven Card Stud and Omaha poker games will be dealt upon request.
Rio Hotel
The Las Vegas Rio Hotel Casino has a small poker room with 10 tables located in the middle of
the sports book. The poker games are mostly Texas Holdem ($2-$3,
$2-$5, $3-$6 and $4-$8) with some Omaha and Seven Card Stud poker games.
Look for daily poker tournaments at noon. The Rio is also host to the annual
World Series of Poker.
