Professional Poker Tour Poker Tournaments
With the major poker tournaments drawing record players, it is
getting tougher for "professional" name poker players to make it to the final table.
What is a professional poker player to do? More important, what is a
television producer to do given that name players bring in better ratings?
The answer is the Professional Poker Tour where only hand picked professionals
can play.
The Professional Poker Tour kicks off its inaugural 2004/2005
season with five $500,000 freeroll poker tournaments for a total $2.5 million
prize pool. The first place prize is $200,000 and a $25,000 seat at the
World Poker Tour Championship.
The Professional Poker Tour Tournaments will take place at
Foxwoods Casino,
in Mashantucket, Connecticut, during November,
Bellagio
in Las Vegas, Nevada, during December,
Horseshoe Casino
& Gold Strike Casino
in Tunica, Mississippi, during January,
Commerce Casino
in Commerce, California, during February, and the
Mirage
in Las Vegas, Nevada, during May.
