Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City is a luxury casino resort with a Middle Eastern palace theme located on 17 acres of the Atlantic City Boardwalk.  The Trump Taj Mahal opened in 1990 and is noted for its distinctive architecture as well as an interior of rich carpets, marble, and crystal chandeliers.  Seven carved stone elephants, each weighing two tons, reside at the entrance to the Trump Taj Mahal.

The Trump Taj Mahal is a complete resort with one of the largest casinos in the world, a 1,250 room hotel tower, entertainment, restaurants, and shopping.  The casino includes over 5,000 slot and video poker machines, over 200 table games, a state-of-the-art simulcast race book, and one of the most active poker rooms in Atlantic City.

Trump Taj Mahal table games include Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Caribbean Stud Poker, Let it Ride, Three Card Poker, Spanish 21, Sic Bo, Pai Gow Poker, and Pai Gow Tiles.  There is also a very elegant Baccarat Pit that not only offers Baccarat, but also Single 0 Roulette, and high limit Blackjack.

The race book is truly impressive and offers thoroughbred and harness racing, with track odds and payouts, for nearly every major U.S. track.  This luxurious race book includes TV monitor seating and self-service betting terminals.

The Trump Taj Mahal poker room is one of the most popular in Atlantic City.  The poker room hosts over 60 tables dealing Texas Holdem, Seven Card Stud, and Omaha, including Hi-Lo games.  This is a very comfortable place to play poker.  There is an upstairs snack bar which is a nice spot to grab some food while you are waiting for a table.  If your name is called while you are eating, just use one of the snack bar's direct lines to call the Seating Controller and let him know you will be a few minutes - they'll hold your seat.

Daily poker tournaments are offered at the poker room Monday through Friday.  Trump Taj Mahal is also host to the annual Trump US Poker Championship in September/October and the Trump Classic Poker Tournament in December.  The poker room offers free poker lessons daily.

The Trump Taj Mahal has plenty of entertainment options.  Headline shows can be found at the 5,000 seat Arena and 1,400 seat Xanadu Showroom.  The Casbah nightclub is a lively dance club and lounge.  For cocktails, try the Oasis bar.

There are a large variety of dining options at Trump Taj Mahal from quick snacks to fine restaurants.  The Safari Steakhouse is one of the best steakhouses in Atlantic City.  Also highly recommended are the steak and seafood selections at Scheherazade, the Italian cuisine at Mark Anthony's, and the oriental dishes at Dynasty.

The Trump Taj Mahal has 1,250 rooms in a 51 story tower.  Guest rooms are tastefully decorated in pastel colors and light wood finishes.  There is an excellent variety of suites including Viceroy Suites (650 sq. ft.), Sultan Suites (1,200 sq. ft.), Rajah Suites (1,400 sq. ft.), Lanai Suites (1,000 to 1,500 sq. ft.), and Hospitality Suites (2,100 sq. ft.).
