World Poker Tour Championship

The World Poker Tour Championship takes place at the Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, in April. The World Poker Tour Championship is the final poker tournament of the World Poker Tour. The winners of the World Poker Tour tournaments held throughout the season descend on Las Vegas to play for the World Poker Tour Championship poker tournament which usually has a prize pool over $10 Million.

The World Poker Tour Championship is the final event in Bellagio's Five Star World Poker Classic. The Bellagio Five Star World Poker Classic typically runs during the first few weeks of April, with the final event, the No Limit Texas Holdem World Poker Tour Championship taking place during the latter part of April. The buy-in (with entry fee) to the WPT championship is $25,500.

There are also about fourteen smaller poker tournaments at Bellagio with buy-ins ranging from $2,600 to $10,200 for Omaha, 7 Card Stud Poker, and Texas Holdem (including Limit, Pot Limit, No Limit, and Hi-Low Split poker games).

To enter a poker tournament, simply show up at Bellagio Casino with the buy-in. If the Championship buy-in of $25,500 is a little high, consider showing up at Bellagio and trying one of the smaller satellite tournaments. Bellagio holds satellite tournaments at their casino in the days prior to the World Poker Tour poker Championship. You can also enter World Poker Tour Satellite tournaments online. Online World Poker Tour satellite tournaments are available now.
