World Series Poker Schedule

Here is the 2005 schedule for the World Series of Poker tournament at the Rio Las Vegas in Nevada.  For more information on the WSOP tournament, go to

World Series of Poker

World Series of Poker tournaments begin on June 2, 2005, and continue through the middle of July.  There are 45 World Series of Poker tournaments for various poker games including Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Seven Card Stud, and Razz.  The WSOP tournaments generally have buy-ins ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.  There is a $10,000 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha tournament on July 2, as well as the $10,000 buy-in No Limit Texas Hold'em Championship on July 7.  A Ladies No Limit Texas Hold'em tournament is scheduled for June 26.

The main event, the $10,000 buy-in No Limit Texas Hold'em World Championship, will take place July 7 - 15, 2005.  The Championship tournament will be held at the Rio Las Vegas except for the last two days which will take place at Binion's Horseshoe Casino in the downtown area.  Harrah's is estimating over 6,000 players will enter the 2005 Championship poker tournament.

If the $10,000 buy-in is a little steep, there are always plenty of satellite tournaments in the weeks preceding the Championship tournament.  Super satellite days are scheduled for July 5 and 6.

You can also enter online World Series of Poker Satellite tournaments which have a smaller entry fee (tournament winners get their entry fee paid to the main event) through online poker rooms such as Party Poker, True Poker, and Pacific Poker.
